This past weekend was the Glastonbury Music festival, and the girls and short shorts were out in force. Love the festival look.

Obsession of the Week
Rachel Zoe has been the topic of my postings earlier this month but I was watching her on QVC this past week and I am obsessed with her newest addition to her accessory line for the company. I think she is so smart for adding this venture to her resume. All the pieces she wears and you can tell are inspired by her style.
My favorite is this navaho scarf (we all know I love tribal).

Cool Collabos
I feel so out of the loop on this affordable fabulousness. Gap has joined forces with Pierre Hardy to create these amazing platform wedges! I love them. They would look so amazing with a pair of shorts and a blazer or a pair of wide leg jeans and a printed tank.
The prices range from $98-$110 a perfect little investment for summer time! Plus I think these could carry you into fall paired with cute trouser socks. Check out one of my favorite bloggers The Glamourai in them! Get em here.

Tackle The Trend
Cargo's are definitely one of this season's most popular pant option. The starlets have been seen all over wearing the famous J. Brand Houlihan Cargo. I prefer this skinny style of the cargo, I have tried on some baggier versions and I just think it is a little too "construction worker" for me. If you're going to do the cargo look find a pair that is form fitting.
You can work this look a number of ways. You can go military-esque sticking to structured tops and a shoe boot option like Kim. You could also go edgy with a crop top and balance it out with a floral girlie print. You could go relaxed with flats like Gwen paired with a boyfriend top. Dress is up with a silky top and girlie pumps. Or try platforms with a boyfriend sweater like Jess. I like pairing the cargo with girlie options to balance out the structured look of the pant. Mauves, pinks, nudes, and blush tones are my favorite to pair with a military green.
Don't have $200 to shell out for something as trendy as cargos? Try more frugal options such as Nordstrom's Sanctuary People Pant for $98 or Shopbop's Blank Cargo for $78.

Obsession of the Week
So as I was packing my suitcase I noticed what steals I managed while visiting my parents, and that a lot of my stuff was from Forever21's contemporary line Love21. The line is Forever21's older sister, launched mid May, with a little increase in price (range from 19.80-32.80) with nicer quality fabrics and apparel. The line is geared towards the adult customer, ladies in their early 20's to early 40's. I wasn't realizing it when I was finding myself drawn to one little corner of the huge store but I bought all Love21 apparel. I have found that the line is more eclectic and suits my personal style. I guess we can't stay 21 Forever? Check out Love21 here. Also take a look at Forever21's blog TheSkinny!

Happy Monday
What better way to start off the morning than a sale! J.Crew is having their first summer sale online until Wednesday. An extra 30% off people! Tunics, blazers, bathing suits, shoes, button downs, and dresses! Just in time to put together an amazing 4th of July ensemble.
Here's what I filled my bag with...if only I didn't have to find and decorate an apartment this next month. I know a certain friend of mine will REALLY take advantage. Enjoy my loves!

Redcarpet Roundup: MTV Movie Awards
The MTV Movie Awards isn't known for a haute couture red carpet but it is still worth mentioning. This is the show to have some fun and take risks with your ensemble. I had a handful of favorites.
We know that I am a City girl so applause to Whitney Port finding a balance between having fun and still looking gorgeous. Love this nude and neon yellow Yigal Azrouel mini dress complete with nude glittery Serigo Rossi shoes.
Nikki Hilton usually flies under the radar for my taste but I love this Missoni mini. Perfect for summer time. Stephanie Pratt isn't my favorite person in the world but I love this highlighter neon black little number by Leila Shams.
The winner for me was the gracious Sandra Bullock. The backless glitter black number looked amazing on her with simple hair pulled back and a red lip complete with sky high nude pumps. Can she do wrong in anyone's book?

Throwback Style Icon
It is not secret to anyone close to me that I am obsessed with the 80's. The clothes, the music, & the movies ( the late John Hughes is amazing!). One of my favorite movies of all time is "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".
I adore the music, Mathew Broderick circa 1986, & the incredibly stylish and awesome Sloane Peterson. Not only is she the coolest girlfriend on the planet I love her ensemble in the film. The fringe, the leather boots, the high-waisted shorts! I watched the film last night and just had to create a polyvore inspired by the 80's goddess. She definitely has inspired me to step my 80's game up.

Obsession of the Week
The boxy tee is definitely a summer staple but my favorite version of it right now is the stripe. Perfect for summer with cut offs, skinnies for a night out, or even over your suit. Keep these because the long sleeved version is perfect for winter and stripes will stick around for you to pair with a pair of shorts and tights when the chilly weather comes back around.
*Be careful of this silhouette, since it is bigger and baggier up top, stick to tighter bottoms to make sure you don't end up looking like a balloon with no waist!
