The City is back!

What did you all think about The City's premiere tonight? I thought it was fantastic! I am so glad that the show is taking a new tone showing purely the fashion industry! For someone who is very eager to get involved in fashion pr and styling it is just such a breath of fresh air. Of course I loved that Olivia has a more central story line and I am glad to get rid of Jay and all the boy drama! Don't know how I feel about Roxy-seems a little eager to be famous to me? I can't wait for the rest of the season!

Hello Rebecca!

My precious intern friend Allison was always rocking this fabulous red gold chain clutch working the floor of Nordies this summer. She introduced me to my latest fashion fixation: Rebecca Minkoff. The San Diego cutie launched her fabulous handbag line in 2001 and they have been a hit on the red carpet and everywhere else! Jenna Elfman asked her to design a bag for next movie which
would become the sensational piece "the morning after bag". I am a big fan of her clutches. I love the gold hardware, soft leather, and classic colors. They have the option of a long gold chain strap which is fantastically chic.
In Spring 2009 she developed an apparel line. Perusing around shopbop.com my favorites are the scoop neck pleated dress, the clutch in wine iguana, and the classic morning after mini tote. Hopefully one of Rebecca's pieces will be in my hands in the near future.

Fashion Obsession of the Week

I am in love with suede and suede pumps! I have been eyeing these Steve Madden Trinitie and Symbill platforms. I love the royal and electric blue! I can't decide which ones I want to get but I think these will be a great statement shoe to add to your fall wardrobe!

Peg Leg Lady

As I've been doing my weekly googling of Olivia Palermo's wardrobe and online shopping I have a new fashion obsession of the week: peg leg pants. It sounds like something an old dirty pirate would wear but no no my fashion friends it is a creative play on menswear which will make its way to stay this fall. They have a dash of a high-waisted, dash of a crop hem, and a dash of a pleat. It sounds like a lot but I think they are too chic for words.
They are perfect for work or a night out on the town. Pair them with some girly pieces to keep a feminine look.I paired them with another obsession of mine suede platform pumps (see above) a loose blouse and a cropped tuxedo jacket. I am waiting til pay day to order this pair from ASOS. Fabulous!

My fashion obsessions of the moment...

My fashion obsessions of the moments right now are: statement necklaces, draped sleeved tops, and leather skirts. Statement necklaces are this season's fashion jewelry trend. I've been noticing the necklaces getting bigger and more dramatic and I am loving it. These pieces are the easiest way to dress up a simple top. I especially love the bib style. I wore a bib black onyx necklace from Forever21 the other night to dinner over a white boyfriend tank and skinnys and it completely dressed up my outfit.
Next on the list are these draped sleeves. I know that angular shoulders are at top of the trends these days but I like this play on the style. It is a little more feminine. I want to order the one from ASOS pictured on the model. These would look great tucked into a pencil skirt, and definitely could go from work to happy hour.
Lastly, the leather. Leather is everywhere this season, but I am loving the leather mini. There are so many different takes on this look from minis to pencils to tulip skirts. I feel like this skirt can add a little edge and sexiness to any ordinary outfit. I ordered this tulip leather skirt from Forever21 and want to pair it with a white button down and bright colored pumps. Jazz up my work wear. Here is an attempt at pairing all of these trends in one final look.
