What to Wear: NYE Part II

This is for all you ladies who are going out on the town and doing it up big NYE. Single or not, this outfit is great for big NYE plans such as Vegas, like my bff Stevie. This dress is sexy with out trying too hard or showing too much. Paired with the perfect pair of nude pumps that will elongate any leg. Keep the jewelry and make up dark and mysterious. Stevie is a sucker for feather anything so this shrug is perfect to keep her warm club hopping. Finally, she'll need a decent sized clutch for all her VIP passes :)

What to Wear: NYE Part I

It is that time of year again-time to get all dolled up to ring in the New Year. I don't know about you all but I am SO READY for 2011. As per tradition I've styled your NYE looks a few different ways for wherever your plans may take you. My first look This is for all my ladies lucky in love this year, with most of my friends putting a ring on it these days this was only appropriate.

Throw on a sexy dress with some slick black pumps for a sultry look at dinner with your honey. Diamonds (faux or real) and silver accents will look best for this special night. Don't forget to spray some of that special scent, so you'll be absolutely irresistible come that midnight kiss.

London Trend Take Home Bag

I have been dying to tell you guys about the AH-MAZING fashion I saw in London. When I'm there I just want to take pictures of the girls (and guys) on the street-they really have their street fashion DOWN. People there are so free with the way they dress, sticking to their own unique style despite trends which I think is what makes it that "cool" the city is known for. Here are some of the trends I took home with me.

1. "the boyfriend boot"-I don't know what it is about this boot but EVERY girl had them on. They seem so masculine so you have to find the one that suits you ( I have a tiny foot so I wasn't trying to over power it with crazy buckles and studs). These were paired with leggings, tights, knee highs, over-the-knees, skinny jeans, shorts with such ease and confidence. Some girls even wear them unzipped to up the "I don't care" factor.

2. Navajo Cape/Sweater/Anything-We all know I'm already a sucker for Indian Princess themed fashion-this print was everywhere on anything.

3. The Stevie Knicks Hat-London is going through a Stevie Knicks phase, well I think most of fashion is but America hasn't fully embraced it. Dying for one of these--again my "small-ness" has me still looking for the perfect one that doesn't hide my face and in black.

4. Bags with any buckle-Since the Mulberry "Alexa" bags with buckles have become a staple.

5. Over-the-Knee socks-We all know how I felt about these before London now I'm even more CRAZY about them. Such an effortless way to be sexy

6. Cardigan- These updated version of the cardigan is a mix with a blazer. They had them in all prints, beads, embroidery. I see them coming over here in full force in the Spring.

7. Cozy Marbled Shirt-I found these in Topshop they were very T by Alexander Wang-ish so comfy and soft I bought them in 6 different colors and have been living in them.

8. Hats-Hats were huge since its FREEZING, hats with fur and little ears were a favorite.

9. "Snoods" aka Eternity Scarves-These were everywhere in every fabric. My sis's favorite-I got one in pink knit.

10. Capes-Capes were a great alternative and more flattering silhouette when it comes to outerwear. Wish I would have picked one up instead of being so focused on a fur jacket (which by the way I didn't even find THE ONE)

Love love London for the fashion, and appreciation of one's own unique style. America needs to adapt that as well as all of these trends ASAP.

What to Pack: LONDON

so I'm heading across the pond to visit my parents in London. It is absolutely freezing over there so my usual S. FL get ups will not do. I've packed rain boots for snow, over-the-knee boots for comfort and non rain days. I've packed oversize sweaters, comfy under tees, and eventually my perFURect fur jacket whenever I find it which may be over there. These riding pant inspired leggings are going to be a life saver! Where are the holidays taking you all?

What to Wear: Auburn vs. UGA

Every Saturday the stakes get higher ladies, and today is no different. Time to step up our game in both football and attire.

It is going to be a bit chilly so keep warm in a soft sweater you can roll the sleeves up if you get warm with some spirited blue suede shorts. Keep your legs warm and trendy with these cute gray thigh high socks complete with animal print flats since you'll be jumping up and down in the stadium during this game, heels aren't an option for this match up. Your perfect orange scarf that has brought you luck all season is a must, along with a horseshoe necklace for a little extra luck! A chocolate brown polish is great for winter and neutral (no grays, reds, or blacks please). It is a day game so a great pair of sunnies to shade your face and your dirty looks to those loud UGA fans barking in your face.

My drink of choice this week? A salty dog. Appropriate for how those dawgs are going to feel today :)

Stay classy ladies and WAR DAMN CAM.

Haute Halloween Costumes II

My easy to do costume for today is none other than Rachel Zoe. With all the fall trends in stores these days this is such an easy costume. You need a flared pair of denim, a fur vest, and a flowing blouse. A great pair of funky platforms is a must as well as some chunky jewelry. Accessorize with an over sized pair of shades and a Starbucks latte. The perfect bag to fill all your treats with? A structured bag preferably in a funky print or skin. Ba.nan.as.

Haute Halloween Costumes II

I'm a total gLeek, I love GLEE! It would be really easy to be the show's starlet Rachel Berry this year for Halloween.

Rachel is known for her 70's-ish conservative nerdy look. Grab a pleated skirt (try a thrift store for a vintage looking one) and a cardigan, the nerdier the better. Buy a simple pair of knee high socks to be paired with a pair of brown loafers. A bow in your hair and some pearl accessories with your ipod blasting Glee's amazing songs you'll be set!

Haute Halloween Costumes II

My second Haute Halloween costume this week is inspired by Mad Men. This would be really easy to pull off with some of the items already in your closet. Go to a thrift or vintage store (or your grandmother's closet) and pick up a 50's inspired dress. Pair it with some stud earrings and platform pumps. Pick up a bump it or comb to tease your hair into a beehive or chic bun. Make sure you get a vintage clutch while at the thrift store. Add some lovely lace gloves and a martini glass will complete your vintage look.

Haute Halloween Costumes II

Alright it is the week of Halloween, time for my annual Haute Halloween Costumes. This year we are kicking off the week with every one's favorite Jersey girl Snookie. Throw on your tightest and shortest sequin dress along with some strappy black platform heels. Buy a bottle of self tanner to enhance your skin to Snookie's level. You'll need a gold, leopard, or some sort of out there hair clip to create your poof. Add some dark eye make up, falsies, and a blinged out necklace you're set to smush by the end of the night.

What to Wear: Auburn VS. LSU

Hi my Auburn ladies, I know it is Friday and you all are planning out your game day outfits. This is yet another HUGE game against those "other" Tigers.
Now the weather is still in the 80's and it is a mid day game so you'll need to be cool in this white pocket tank and cute orange print mini with pockets to fill with...well minis ;) These cute flats will complete your Auburn attire along with this navy scarf for when the sun sets and when we're rolling Toomers later. This evil eye necklace will not only ward off the evil spirits of those LS-Loosers, but also matches your get up perfectly. A brown cross body to carry the necessities such as lip gloss, an AU cheek tattoo, and camera. A gray nail polish is neutral and will look great with your orange skirt.Throw on these vintage Ray Bans so you can keep it classy, dirty looks to that LSU fan in the student section will be hidden behind these babies.

Drink of choice this weekend: an iced hurricane.

What to Wear: Auburn vs. Arkansas

So it's that time again my beautiful Auburn ladies, WTW: Game day! This week we play Arkansas, as our hard working Tigers step up in the polls, us southern belles need to step up our game day attire, especially since we are back at home this week. Checked your weather report, perfect football weather in the 70's.
These cute vintage inspired blue striped shorts with an oversized tee, will keep you cool enough and warm enough should a nice breeze come under your tailgate tent. It is October so take advantage and pull out a cute fall ankle boot, and orange scarf, to be perfectly paired with your blue short. The game is in the afternoon so you'll defintely need some stunning oversize shades. I always like a bit of an animal print on a game day with this leopard belt and keep it funky with this awesome snake cuff. Complete this fairly blank slate with nude nails.

Gameday drink of choice: John Daly

It is still hot enough to enjoy a spiked Arnold Palmer ladies.
War Eagle!
