Champagne Cocktail

Tomorrow I am having a Christmas Champagne Cocktail. I am very excited. I love having a reason to get dressed up! Tis the season for holiday parties! Right now the party attire Im really into one shoulder long sleeved dresses, suede platform pumps, sparkly tights, sequin jackets, black cropped pants, pearls! I ordered a dress and it came in today and it fits like a glove! I can't wait to share my girlfriend's and I's fancy outfits! Cheers!

I'm a Big Girl Now Bag

So before I start my internship I really want a soft leather/black/tote that can transition from work to off the clock that says: "I am professional/chic/timeless/fashion forward". I feel like (along with the rest of the female population) the perfect bag to fulfill this need is the Hermès Birkin. But I am not Victoria Beckham, I can't afford one nor 80 like she does. So I have been looking for alternatives that have the similar style and message of the Birkin. Here are some front runners:

Marc Jacobs Jen Satchel
Mulberry Bayswater
Chloé Victoria Tote
I want a bag I can carry to work or a meeting with documents, ect and then head out after for dinner. I know the ones I have chosen are designer but I do want something that will last me a while (until I can buy that Birkin for myself!) and that will remain a timeless piece in my closet. I really like the Mulberry, but I feel like it looks TOO much like a Birkin. Almost trying too hard? The Chloe is my favorite. I like the Marc but I feel like its kind of plain for me. What do you all think? Any other ideas?

Men's Oxford Shoe Trend

The menswear inspired oxford flat has been popping up everywhere since the end of this summer and into the fall. I have always thought it was very fashion forward and chic. I find myself picking them up in the store and looking at them, holding them up against myself, and wondering would I wear these? I am more drawn to the neutral colors and slender style.
However browsing Steve Madden's site I found the Tirah and I think this is my answer to this trend. I would say my style is classic chic with a bit of an edge, and this fits me. They are a little more feminine and since I will be spending a good chunk of my time in Palm Beach the next few months for my internship I felt like these would fit in perfectly. What do you all think?
I'm thinking I will definitely have to see these in person before making a final decision. I like the lavender shade best, gray a close second. I think they would be divine with little skirts, floral dresses, black cropped pants, denim shorts and skinnies.

Obsession of the Week:

Trouser Socks & Open Toed Shoes

I have always noticed the look of wearing trousers and open toed chunky
wedges on the most fashion forward women such as Leighton Meester and Alexa Chung. I was watching Alexa Chung today and she was wearing them--and I really liked it.

I've also seen Diane von Furstenberg style her models' feet in a simliar fashion.
What do you guys think? I want to try it. I know I would get some strange looks but that has never really stopped me before. The thing is finding the perfect ensemble to wear this look with and the perfect socks. I can't just borrow my Dads or boyfriend's socks. Im thinking they have to be a little bit feminine-mabye have a bit of color and sparkle to them. What do you guys think about this look?

New Designer Eye Wear

Two of favorite designers have added sunglasses to their designing resume: Dian von Furstenberg and Tory Burch. Just in time for stuffing some stockings.
DVF has developed a range of different style glasses with fun detail on the side.
I love the lips on the side!
The prices range from $125-$225.

Tory has a few more choices from aviators,
oversized Jackie lenses
(this pair is my favorite)
or a sqaure retro lens.
Her prices range from $145-$280

Tory is right you can never leave without them! Even though its cold outside-you can wear these specs all year long! Happy stuffing dolls!

Christmas Wish List

What fashion items are you all putting on your Christmas lists this year? I was lucky this year and got to pick out alot of stuff earlier in the year while I interned at Nordstrom (on discount) and am excited about finally getting to see them under the tree soon!
I also love Christmas shopping for others! I love surprising people! I am excited to shop with my sister this year for our family. Are you all online shopping or hitting
the sales? I've been scoping out prices online and will probably try to pick them up in the store, hopefully before things get nutty.
I love the gift guides shopbop.com/whowhatwear.com/forever21.com are doing to help you buy for your fellow fashionistas in your life. I know something like this would definately help my boyfriend! This snapshot guide of the future fashion editor would be right up my tree!
Happy shopping dolls;)
