disgustingly cool.

Julian Louie for Aldo-out in April-I can't even pick which ones I want. Definitely one of the IKAT printed ones for sure! Just in time for all the funky music festivals, warm revealing your legs weather, and new spring toe polish colors. Print on Print is going to be huge this Spring. Be on the look out to snatch some up ladies.

Cool Collabos

I feel so out of the loop on this affordable fabulousness. Gap has joined forces with Pierre Hardy to create these amazing platform wedges! I love them. They would look so amazing with a pair of shorts and a blazer or a pair of wide leg jeans and a printed tank.
The prices range from $98-$110 a perfect little investment for summer time! Plus I think these could carry you into fall paired with cute trouser socks. Check out one of my favorite bloggers The Glamourai in them! Get em here.

Obsession of the Week

Ever since these little numbers were covered on the Daily 10 I haven't stopped dreaming about them. The Georgies are by Modern Vintage and I think they are the perfect edgy platform shoe boot, and I "need" a black edgy heel to add to my repertoire. The team at Modern Vintage mixes modern design, old-world craftsmanship, and contemporary styling will remain a timeless piece in a gal's modern wardrobe. Selena Gomez, Nicole Richie, and Olivia Munn are fans.

Soon the Georgies will be mine...

Celeb Designer Spotlight

We all know Nicole Richie is one of my style icons and all time favorites. She is currently promoting her new clothing line Winter Kate, but I wanted to shed the spotlight on her accessory line, House of Harlow 1960. Nicole first introduced us to her line via her amazing jewelry now she is throwing in sunglasses and shoes into the mix.
I am crazy about all of it,
especially the SHOES. I saw her wearing these Meryl moccasins and I wanted them immediately. I love anything indian or tribal inspired and these were just right up my alley. They come in brown, white, and orange (my favorite color).
Here is a look at some other shoes that are part of the line

I love the ballet flats. Nicole's House of Harlow 1960 line is available (but not limited to) here:
Shopbop
Bloomingdales
Saks

Nicole will also be adding hang bags to her design resume. Can't wait!

Obsession of the Week

This week I am obsessed with wooden wedges! With the clog making a come back, chunky and wooden platforms and wedges have been popping up all over the shoe departments. In my opinion the higher the better! These are great for your Spring dresses, wide leg linen trousers, rompers, shorts all of your warm wear. I suggest a neutral color to extend your leg and make you look taller. I got the Jeffrey Campbell "Miracle" for my birthday and have worn them non stop. They are not only adorable they're so comfortable!

Obsession of the Week

I am loving these wedge wrap around shoe boots. I honestly don't know what to call them but the silhouette catches my eye and makes me giddy. Maybe because I'm short? The shoes tend to wrap the fabric around the wedge. I love it. For Spring we are seeing new heights literally sky high wedges and clogs. Still trying to find my perfect pair for Spring. Pair these with shorts & tights, flared denim trousers, mini dresses. Loving it.

ALDO Trigueiro

I had these nice leather slouchy boots from Bakers since last year. When I pulled them out of my winter box to wear them home to Raleigh, I noticed on the airplane it felt like my foot was catching on something. I noticed the rubber sole was ALREADY coming apart. I needed them during my trip so I figured I'd take them to the repair man that does my moms shoes. I went shopping with my mom and noticed that water was crawling up the back of my boot and the sole pratically had a hole in it! I was so mad! These boots were maybe just a year old and I paid like 100 bucks for them. My mom told me I needed to get some new ones asap and offered to pay for them ( we were embarrased of my wet boot shopping not very attractive ) So I happily skipped down to ALDO and found these babies.
They're called the Trigueiro. I like that they were simple yet had a little bit of an edge with the metallic grommets. They're lined with suede I love them and wore them pratically everyday over break. Plus they were on sale half of from $90. I had the bargain fashion gods looking down on me that day. They come in camel and black. You can get them here.
