Obsession of the Week

I believe that to have style one should constantly be evolving and not just fit into one style niche. Fashion right now is such a huge industry with so many different talents and aesthetics which we should all take advantage of and dig our hands into all of it. One should have multiple different muses where they get their inspiration from. This leads me to my obsession of the week:
Kat Von D is the leading lady of her own tattoo shop LA Ink which also happens to be a TLC show that I have taken advantage over the break to become obsessed with. Although Kat's style is unconventional-I love it! She is true to who she is and dresses how she feels and I admire that.
Some of her favorite pieces to sport are leggings, destroyed flares, boots, long tee shirt dresses, sky high wedges, bikini tops, destroyed vintage tees. She always has a lightening bolt accessory and huge rocker shades on.

Kat's look is unconventional but I think she is an unconventional beauty. Get your Kat on with this ripped tee shirt dress decorated with a skeleton, some wooden wedges, a black Octopus cocktail ring, and a sunflower clip in your hair. Or some ripped dirty denim flares, a black skull bathing suit top, and a leather sparkly vest. Either way, Kat is someone we can all take a little piece of her style to really edge up and personalize our look.
Rock on!

Obsession of the Week

It's Tuesday time for my obsession of the week post! This week I've been currently Google stalking/looking for inspiration from...

Nicole is hands down one of my style icons. I look to her to edge my look up a bit, for that bohemian LA girl part of me. She loves leopard, leggings, fringe boots, and scarves like me. Plus she has a Balenciaga handbag obsession that I've recently adopted..

I love her daily use of scarves and sunglasses. She knows how to accessorize to jazz up and outfit without looking like she tried too hard. I love this look comfortable yet chic and confident.

Again great accessories here yet she looks so comfy.

LOVE this over sized Balenciaga bag and fur vest.

She is petite but works her frame in this great romper. Again fashion forward without sacrificing comfort.

Yet she always knows how to dress up and keep a little funk, like with this classic dress and python print pumps.
Love ya Nic!

can i please be Whitney Port?

So I can't stop thinking about Whitney Port since the Hills on Monday---take that back since Sunday when I shrilled with excitement during my boyfriend and I's weekly view of Entourage Sunday night! She made a guest appearance yeay! She's made it! But I feel like she had made it way before prancing around with the boys of Entourage--no offense Vincent Chase...Whitney has her own fashion line Eve&A ! (Love that she didn't slap her name on the label) I love it because of the color palette focuses on grays, blacks, and purples which I wear just about everyday. The collection consists of 20 pieces ranging from 50$ to $220. She parallels her own life as her pieces can go from leaving work at DVF to running to meet her new fab NY friends for a cocktail. The fact that this girl created a wool skirt with pins included to adjust from mini to above the knee is genius work appropriate then sex kitten appropriate. Continuing to amaze me...On The Hills Aftershow was a preview for Whitney's new show The City. It looked so exciting (check out the trailer here www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZWOq-Yze-8)as the camera crew follows her to her new pr job at DVF (amazing) having fun with her new cute roomate, and juggling men! What is a girl to do! I am so ready for a new show The Hills is just getting so old I wish Heidi and LC would just be friends again and Audrina would forget about JBobby but thats beside the point---Whitney is my favorite cast member and I am so glad the one whose a little more grounded and interesting has her own show and not Lo. So Whitney is pretty much my role model at 23 styling and working pr for DVF frolicking around NY looking fabulous with her own label on her back. Tune in Dec 29 for the debut of The City and you can catch Eve&A online and in the Los Angeles showroom Movement.
