The City is back!

I am so excited that "The City" is returning tonight at 10:30 p.m. right after "The Hills". We're going to have new fights and new drama! Whitney's clothing line will be debuting at Fashion week, Roxy will probably still be screwing up, Olivia and Erin will be duking it out in Joe Zee's office, and of course the amazing Kelly Cutrone will be giving us doses of her wisdom through out. I can't wait!

Project Runway Three's a Crowd

Congrats to Project Runway 7 Winner Seth Aaron Henderson! While I was unsure of the final three chosen to go, once I saw the final runway show-I was just as pleasantly surprised as the judges. The three finalists Seth, Emilio Sosa, and Mila Hermanovski pulled out all the stops on the runway. I enjoyed all of their collections.

I would wear all of them--but I loved Mila's styling and comfy knits and rocker chic the most! Those leggings were awesome!
Emilio's feminine pieces were amazing but his ego and eye rolling during judging made me dislike him so much I don't care what he put down the runway I didn't want him winning. Get over yourself and your ESOSA brand. Humble yourself please--no one knew who you were before this show remember that!
Seth Aaron I have always admired through out the competition and while his stuff is a different aesthetic than what I would wear it was perfect for editorial, ahead of the curve, and the majority of it was wearable.
What did you guys think of this season? Who was your favorite? I can't wait for the next season!

September Issue

Ah! So excited the September Issue is coming out on DVD tomorrow. My unfashionable college town with one movie theatre didn't show it (gasp I know how rude and un-chic of them) and I'm going to pick it up tomorrow before work! Early birthday present to me, thanks Anna! A must have for ANYONE wanting to get involved in fashion.

The City Finale

What did you all think of The City's second half of season 1? Tonight was the season finale! What did you all think? Im sad we were left a little empty handed? However, I think the show has really come along way since the first half of the season. I really enjoyed the fact that the show chose to take a different path leaving the boy drama behind and focusing on the fashion!
I like that we got to see Whitney's path to designing and more of Kelly Cutrone's sassiness and candid career advice! I wish we could have seen more of Sammy and her job at Bergdorf because I feel like that'd be a new angle to explore and personally Roxy being Whitney's new sidekick just drives me nuts! I feel like she brings out the worst in Whitney--as a clueless push over.
I enjoyed the Elle angle although I am biased because I absolutely love Olivia (no surprise to you all of course). I do feel like at times maybe she wasn't using her best skills of styling and her natural eye but I also feel like maybe she wasn't guided as much as she could have been or explained what her actual job is? Maybe a combination of both and awesome editing?I feel like personally she's just Erin's slave? I am not a fan of Erin but I will say that I think she is a very hard worker and intelligent, yet I think her insane outbursts at work, ranting to the intern, and constant complaining to Joe is a little immature. Either way whoever is winning the weekly battle at Elle I love hearing Joe Zee chirp in the background and get giddy over Victoria Beckham pictures.
All in all this is by far my favorite show on TV and I am so sad to see season 1 end but am looking forward to the second!

The City is back!

What did you all think about The City's premiere tonight? I thought it was fantastic! I am so glad that the show is taking a new tone showing purely the fashion industry! For someone who is very eager to get involved in fashion pr and styling it is just such a breath of fresh air. Of course I loved that Olivia has a more central story line and I am glad to get rid of Jay and all the boy drama! Don't know how I feel about Roxy-seems a little eager to be famous to me? I can't wait for the rest of the season!
