Colorful Love

I have been trying to track down where to snag these awesome bracelets as seen in DVF's Spring 2010 show. They are actually made of recycled old telephone wire. The bracelets are not only green and affordable but they also are beneficial as a fair trade product.
The Bat Shop (where the bracelets are available) are responsible for teaching disadvantaged and developing artists in technique and product development. Now over 400 artisans across the region of KwaZulu-Natal are able to support their families and communities in South Africa. These bracelets retail for less than $25 and are helping people. All in the name of fashion.

Eco-Chic Fashion at UF

This past week has been a whirl wind. I wanted to share with you all what I was working on last week. My good friend Ebben asked
me to be one of the stylists for a fashion show he was producing at UF benefiting UF's foundation Gators United for Haiti. The show had two major themes eco-friendly and multi-cultural. I helped out with the eco-friendly looks along with the other stylist Krista. We had pulls from local stores, vintage stores, Banana Republic's Heritage line, and Lily Pulitzer's new eco-friendly line.It was great to be part of a show that wasn't necessarily geared toward generating sales. I love being in the fast paced environment back stage and felt like I was definately in my element! Thanks to Ebben for asking me to be a part of it!

Here are some looks from the show!
